Welcome to the Ancient Church of the East Mar Shaleeta Parish, San Fernando California.
We would like to thank you for visiting our web site. It is our mission to reach out and preach the Gospel and the truth as instructed by our Lord and savior jesus Christ as he said in Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
This church is a traditional church that was established around the year 34-35 1st Century A.D. by the Apostles ST. Thomas St. Thaddeus (Mar Addai) & his Student Mari.
The official liturgical language of this church is the Assyrian (Aramaic) which is the language that our Lord & savior spoke with. We are proud to maintain the traditions that was passed on to us by our ancestors, we pray and ask God to strengthen our faith to continue doing so until the second coming of our Lord.
This church observe the Julian Calendar for all of its activities with the exception of Nativity day which has been recently changed to the Gregorian Calendar. May the blessing of the Lord be upon all mankind with piece and prosperity for all.
